Want to Elevate Your Skyline Experience?
Philly’s skyline is—in my completely unbiased opinion—the most beautiful in the world. And lucky for us, the city is full of incredible spots to soak in those views. Whether you're chasing golden hour for photos or just want to watch the sun dip behind the buildings, I’ve rounded up the best places to see the Philadelphia skyline, from classic lookouts to hidden gems!

Art Museum Steps

Okay, this one’s obvious—but how often do you actually go? For a quieter moment with a killer view, try visiting around sunrise before the crowds (and Rocky impersonators) take over.

Cira Green

Perfect for those who like a cold drink with their skyline. This elevated park is ideal for sunset hangs with a laid-back vibe.

Benjamin Franklin Bridge

If you don’t mind a little height and a lot of wind, walking or running across this bridge serves up one of the most dramatic skyline perspectives. Pro tip: tie your hair back!

Camden Waterfront Park

Love the bridge view but prefer solid ground? Just hop over to Jersey. The panorama from this park is just as stunning—minus the sway.

Water Works Gazebo

Nestled near Boathouse Row, this spot beautifully frames the skyline with the Schuylkill River. A must-see if you’re in the area.

South Street Bridge

A favorite among runners and walkers, this bridge delivers classic skyline vistas. Bonus: check out the Spruce Street Harbor Park pedestrian bridge for another photogenic angle.

MLK Drive Bridge

My personal go-to for skyline gazing! This car-free bridge serves breathtaking views of the river leading straight into the cityscape. It’s currently closed for construction, but the nearby Spring Garden Street Bridge offers a similar vibe—just watch for traffic.

Belmont Plateau

The ultimate sunset picnic spot. Spread out a blanket, bring some snacks, and enjoy an awesome view with friends. It can get busy, but the atmosphere is always worth it.

Lemon Hill

For a quieter, more intimate setting near Boathouse Row, Lemon Hill offers a peaceful alternative. You won’t see the full skyline, but it’s perfect for a low-key date or pre-game picnic.
